Somewhere for everyone to belong
In addition to Sunday School for all ages, Oakland Baptist Church has a variety of ministries designed for the needs of every age group.

Children
Children’s Church is available for children 4 years through 3rd grade during morning worship. Sunday School classes run for every age group at 9:45 am.
AWANA
Children ages 3 through 6th grade meet for AWANA on Sunday evenings during the school year — games, Scripture memory and a Bible lesson.

Youth
7th through 12th graders take part in Oakland’s active youth group, which meets on Sunday and Wednesday evenings.
Adult Bible Study
A group gathers Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am in the Fellowship Hall for in-depth study of the Bible. Further studies run through the year.

Men’s Ministry
Men united through Christ, grounded in Biblical truth, seeking to establish and develop an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and to mentor men through “Identity-Integrity-Influence.”
Women’s Ministry — L.I.F.T.
Ladies In Fellowship Together. Women of the church gather for study, service and encouragement.

Prime Timers
Adults ages 50 and up enjoy fellowship, monthly covered-dish gatherings and day trips together.
Music Ministry
We provide opportunities for individuals to express their talent through our music ministry, in a blended style that crosses generational barriers.
